What we collect and why
When you write to us (e-mail, phone, WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram, Messenger or Instagram): your name, contact details and message — used solely to reply to you. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to a contract. We keep the data for as long as the correspondence requires, then delete it.
Bookings happen on the external apnt.app platform (a separate controller) or by phone/messengers (WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram) — data entered there is governed by those platforms’ policies.
Cookies: we use cookies strictly necessary for the site to work (no consent needed; legitimate interest) and, ONLY with your consent given in the consent bar, analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation) to understand how the site is used, and advertising cookies (Meta Pixel, described below). The bar names both before you choose, and you can accept analytics only, without advertising. You can withdraw consent at any time: the “Cookie preferences” link in the site footer brings the choice bar back and deletes the _ga and _fbp cookies already set.
The Google Map on the contact page is an embedded Google Maps map that loads together with the page, without a tap: your browser then sends Google (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC, USA) your IP address, browser data and the page address, and Google may set or read its own cookies under Google’s policy. The basis is our legitimate interest in showing where the studio is; Google processes this data under its own policy, with transfers to the USA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.): ONLY with your consent in the cookie bar, to measure and optimise our Facebook and Instagram ads; it records the page visit and the click on the booking button, without your name or phone, and it does not load at all on pages with data forms (registration, sign-in, account, courses). Meta may transfer the data to the USA (Meta Platforms, Inc.) under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can refuse at any time, and withdraw consent later via “Cookie preferences” in the footer.
Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare Inc.): anti-spam check in the site chat, analysing technical browser signals without puzzles and without tracking cookies; basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the service.
Who we share data with
We never sell or rent your data. Technical processors acting on our behalf: site hosting (own server, EU), Cloudflare Inc. (DNS, security and routing of the studio@mymarafet.md mailbox), Google (the inbox behind that address, the map on the contact page and — with consent only — analytics) and Telegram FZ-LLC (reception notification: if you leave your name and phone in the chat, the request reaches our front desk as a Telegram message, together with the conversation). These providers may process data outside the Republic of Moldova under their standard safeguards.
Client reviews
On the Team page we republish the reviews clients left on our public booking profile (apnt.app), exactly as written there, together with the name the author displayed. The basis is our legitimate interest in showing real feedback, and the source is public. If you wrote a review and do not want it on the site, write to studio@mymarafet.md and we remove it the same day, no reason needed.
Virtual assistant (chatbot)
An automated virtual assistant operates on our website and on our Messenger and Instagram pages. When you message it, we process the conversation content and, if you provide them, your name and phone — solely to answer you and arrange an appointment, which we pass to reception to contact you. Legal basis: your consent (when you share contact details) and pre-contractual steps at your request.
To generate replies, message content is sent to our processor Anthropic PBC (Claude API), which processes it on our behalf and may process data outside the Republic of Moldova under standard safeguards. We do not share this data for other purposes. We keep the conversation for a short period (usually a few days) and booking data only as long as necessary, then delete them automatically.
You can delete your data at any time: type “delete my data” right in the chat with the assistant, or email studio@mymarafet.md. You may withdraw consent at any time via “Cookie preferences” in the site footer.
Course area (registration and account)
When you register for course access, we collect your name, e-mail and phone — solely to review your request, create your account if we approve it and contact you. Legal basis: your consent (ticked when you send the request) and pre-contractual steps at your request. This data is stored on our own server (WordPress, self-hosted in the EU) and is not shared with third parties for marketing. Unapproved requests are deleted automatically after 180 days; account data is kept while you have course access, then on request.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and consent withdrawal under Law 195/2024. Write to studio@mymarafet.md and we will answer within 15 days. If unsatisfied, you may address the National Center for Personal Data Protection (datepersonale.md).
