When are lash extensions not recommended? (contraindications)

We postpone the application if you have an eye infection or inflammation (conjunctivitis, stye, blepharitis), a known allergy to lash adhesive or tape (we do a test beforehand when needed), recent eye surgery, very weak natural lashes or noticeable lash loss, or if you have recently had a lash lift or tint. Contact lenses are fine — you take them out for the appointment. If you are being treated for an eyelid condition, ask your doctor first.

What do the 1D–6D volumes mean in lash extensions, and which suits me?

The "D" number shows how many fine lashes are attached to each natural lash: 1D (classic) gives a natural, subtle-mascara effect, while 2D–3D add elegant density. Volumes of 4D–6D create a more dramatic, fluffy look, ideal for events or anyone who loves full lashes. At MY MARAFET STUDIO in central Chișinău we choose the volume based on your natural lashes and the result you want.

How often do lash extensions need a refill?

We recommend a refill every 2–3 weeks, since natural lashes constantly shed and renew, and a refill restores the volume. If you wait too long, you may need a full new set instead of a refill. You can book refills in advance, and our studio is conveniently located in central Chișinău.

How do I care for lash extensions so they last longer?

For the first 24–48 hours avoid water, steam, saunas and eye-area makeup. After that, cleanse the lashes gently with a special oil-free product, brush them daily with the spoolie provided, and avoid rubbing them or sleeping face-down. How much do lash extensions cost?

It depends on the volume: classic 1D from 600 MDL, 1.5–2D from 650 MDL, 3D from 750 MDL, 6D from 900 MDL. An effect (KIM, KYLIE, EYELINER, LAMI LASH or wet look) adds 70 MDL, and removal is from 70 MDL.
