The Beginner Brow Course, Day by Day: What You Do on Each of the 4 Days

On the brow course from scratch (4 days) at MY MARAFET ACADEMY you learn, in four days, the whole journey of a brow job: skin and hair, the architecture of the shape, colour and brow lamination — and on the last day you work on real models with your instructor at your side. You leave with a certificate, the course guide in your account and your first photos for a portfolio. Here is what each day actually looks like.

Who is the course for?

You do not need any experience. The course starts from zero, and the first two days build the base the practice later rests on. It is designed for three situations:

  • you are a beginner who wants a profession and has never worked in beauty;
  • you already work in a neighbouring field — lashes, nails, skincare — and want to add brows to your menu;
  • you already do brows by instinct and feel the structure is missing: why one shape suits a face and another does not, why the same tint turns out differently.

The group is small, so the instructor gets to everyone. Dates are agreed with the group, so the course fits your schedule too.

Day 1: why start with skin and hair, not tweezers?

Because that is where most beginner mistakes are born. Day one is the foundation: the workflow, from greeting the client to the final photo; tools and materials — what to buy first and what can wait; skin types and phototypes; hair structure and porosity.

That last topic answers a question clients will ask you all the time: why the same tint gives a different result on two different people. Day one also covers contraindications, precautions and the patch test — the moments when a good artist knows how to say “not today”.

Day 2: how do you build a shape that suits the face?

Day two is about architecture. You learn to map the brow — the reference points and the shape that fits the face — and to read asymmetry: how far to correct it and when it is wiser to leave it alone.

The rule of the day: the shape is drawn before the tweezers touch a single hair. An outline wipes off in seconds; a hair that has been removed cannot be put back. Only after the sketch do you move on to shaping and thinning, wax and thread correction, setting the hairs and finishing the work.

Day 3: tint, henna or Bronsun — how do you choose the colour?

Day three is the most “lab-like”. It opens with colour theory: the colour wheel, undertone, choosing the shade for blondes and brunettes. Then comes the question clients will ask you in your very first week: tint or henna? You learn when to use each, what henna contains and how it is applied.

The same day you work with Bronsun gel and Bronsun cream, with lightening, toning and Oxygen O2, plus the filling technique for sparse brows — for the client who wants density exactly where hair is missing.

From the sketch to tinting the hairs correctly. You will learn all the secrets in a few days, and you will be guided through every question you have.

From the studio’s experience

Day 4: what does practice on real models mean?

The last day brings brow lamination, with and without tinting, and aftercare: what to recommend the client at home so the result lasts.

Then comes the part most students sign up for: practice on real models. Not a mannequin and not paper, but a real face, with real hairs and skin that reacts. Your instructor is next to you and corrects you in real time, not once the work is finished. It is the difference between “I have seen how it is done” and “I have done it”.

Day four also teaches you how to photograph your work for a portfolio and Instagram. It sounds like a detail, but your first clients will find you through photos, not through a certificate.

What do you leave with, and what does the certificate mean?

At the end of the four days you have:

  • practice on real models, included in the price;
  • the digital course guide in your account on mymarafet.md, to come back to whenever you need it;
  • your certificate, handed over after the final assessment;
  • your first pieces of work, photographed for a portfolio.

The certificate is issued by the studio and confirms that you completed the programme and worked on models under supervision. It is not a state diploma — and it is only fair that you know that up front. The course costs 13,000 MDL, with the practice and the certificate included. The full programme is on the beginner brow course page.

Who teaches, and what comes next?

The course is taught by artists who work with clients every day at the studio on Bd. Constantin Negruzzi 6. Four of them are instructors, and for three of them brows are the daily craft: Lesea, the studio’s founder, Anastasia and Sabina.

After the course, the hard part is no longer technique but rhythm: first clients, first prices, first pieces of work you are not happy with. We wrote about that road separately, in our piece on a brow artist career in Moldova. If a few months later you want to take one technique to the next level, there is the one-to-one masterclass with Lesea. And if you are not yet sure brows are your path, start with how to choose a beauty course.
