PMU Healing: What Happens Day by Day

The most common panic after permanent makeup: “It’s too dark!”. Breathe — it’s exactly as it should be. Here is the real healing timeline, just as Lesea explains it to every client at MY MARAFET STUDIO in Chișinău.

Days 1–3: intense

Fresh pigment is 30–40% darker than the final result. It’s the “wow, that’s a lot” phase — it passes.

Days 4–10: flaking

The skin repairs itself and fine scabs appear. Do NOT touch them — they take pigment with them. Apply only the recommended cream, and avoid the sauna, the pool and makeup on the area.

Days 10–30: the shade settles

The colour looks too light at first, then “rises” to its final, natural shade. Only now can you judge the result.

Weeks 4–8: the touch-up

The touch-up (1 800 lei for brows) perfects the shape and covers the small spots that “spat out” pigment. It’s part of the process, not a flaw.
