Henna or Tint for Your Brows? The Differences You Can Actually See

At MY MARAFET STUDIO we do both classic brow tinting (from 420 lei with shaping included) and henna brows (from 450 lei) every day — and we always get the same question: what’s the difference?

Tint: the hair

Professional brow tint colours the HAIR itself. The result: defined, naturally intensified brows, with no effect on the skin. It lasts 3–4 weeks on the hair. Choose it if you have dense brows and simply want richer colour.

Henna: hair + skin

Henna colours the hair AND the skin beneath it — the effect is a soft powdery shadow, like discreet brow make-up. It lasts 1–2 weeks on the skin and up to 4 on the hair. Choose it if you have gaps, sparse brows or want the “made-up” look without a daily pencil.

Which one is “better”?

Neither — they’re different tools. At the consultation included with every appointment, your artist looks at your brow density, your skin type (henna fades faster on oily skin) and your routine, then makes a recommendation. And if you’d like to skip monthly colouring altogether, let’s talk about permanent makeup.
